Per una volta le serie di fantascienza tornano a casa dalla cerimonia degli Emmy con qualcosa di più dei soliti premi tecnici. Dan Gilroy (fratello di Tony) è stato premiato per la sceneggiatura di Andor, la serie rivelazione di questi ultimi anni, mentre Severance ha avuto il premio per la migliore attrice, Britt Lower, e il miglior attore non protagonista, Tramell Tillman. Infine, Cristin Milioti di The Penguin ha strappato il premio per la migliore attrice in una miniserie, dove tutti gli altri premi per le miniserie sono stati appannaggio della peraltro bellissima serie Adolescence.

Oltre a questa serie, dominatrici degli Emmy la serie The Studio di Seth Rogen, dopo The Morning Show un'altra serie di Apple TV+ dedicata al mondo dello spettacolo che ha battuto ogni record tra Emmy principali e creativi, e The Pitt, serie medica che tanti anni dopo ER ha consentito a Noah Wyle di portarsi a casa il suo primo Emmy.

Grande apprezzamento anche per l'Emmy al programma di Stephen Colbert, cancellato dalla CBS perché inviso a Trump.

Aggiungendo i premi creativi assegnati la settimana scorsa Severance sale a quota sei (Scenografia serie contemporanea, Design dei titoli, Missaggio, Musica serie drammatica o commedia), Andor a quota cinque (Costumi serie sci-fi, Scenografia serie storica o fantastica, Editing visivo, Effetti speciali visivi), The Penguin sei (Costumi miniserie contemporanea, Acconciature miniserie contemporanea, Effetti speciali in un episodio, Editing sonoro miniserie, Musica miniserie). The Boys aveva preso premi per Stunt Performance, Coordimento stunt e Canzone originale, House of the Dragon per il trucco in una serie fantastica, The Last of Us e Arcane per l'editing sonoro.
