La Dragon Con è una convention che si svolge ogni anno ad Atlanta, la cui popolatità fa concorrenza con quella della Worldcon. La grande differenza tra le due convention è che, mentre la Worldcon ogni anno è in uno stato o addirittura un paese diverso, la Dragon Con è fissa ad Atlanta, e questo le permette di diventare un appuntamento fisso per gli appassionati. La convention ha un'infinità di ospiti, ma rispetto alla Worldcon, che si occupa praticamente solo di letteratura, la Dragoncon annovera numerosi ospiti dal cinema, dalla tv e dal fumetto. 

Tra le varie iniziative naturalmente c'è anche un premio, anzi una serie di premi, i Dragon Awards, che premiano romanzi, fumetti, film, serie tv e giochi. Chiunque può votare semplicemente registrandosi sul sito.
